Sarah Cooper | Baby and Me

Early parenthood is full of questions that don't always have tidy answers. Sarah Cooper brings an early relational health perspective to those complicated spaces, helping parents look beyond milestones, behaviors and checklists to understand what is happening within the relationship between parent and child.

What You'll Find Here

Sarah is a recurring guest contributor to Macaroni KID, sharing thoughtful, research-informed perspectives on pregnancy, postpartum life, parenting young children and the relationships that shape a family's earliest years.

Topics may include bonding and attachment, parental wellbeing, challenging behavior, feeding, developmental differences, major transitions, parent-child connection and the sometimes-messy emotional reality behind the numbers, milestones and expectations of early parenthood.

Why Baby and Me Matters to Me

Sometimes the person who needs support is the parent, too.

There was a season in my own parenting life when I was surrounded by support for my children: therapists, appointments, evaluations, sensory tools, curriculum, medical decisions and new routines layered on top of old ones. Everyone needed something from me, and somewhere along the way, I stopped remembering that I was a whole person who was allowed to need support, too.

That's part of why Baby and Me resonates so deeply with me. Parenting support isn't always about fixing a problem in a child. Sometimes it's about helping a parent feel seen, understand what's happening in the relationship, rebuild trust in themselves and find their footing again.

Every parent has a storm season. Every parent deserves a safe harbor. Baby and Me isn't there to steer the ship for you, but to help hand you the map, hold the umbrella and remind you that you don't have to weather it alone.

Need Support in Your Own Parenting Season?

You don't have to figure it all out alone.
